A Newman Volunteer Corps Dinner Theater Event to raise money and awareness for Victims of Human Trafficking!

Columbia, Mo. – February 28, 2011 – The Catholic Student Association and the St. Thomas More Newman Center at the University of Missouri are hosting a dinner theater event to help fight human trafficking.

All proceeds will go to COSA, the Children’s Organization of Southeast Asia. Chelsea Laun is from Columbia and is in charge of the organization’s, “Project Library.” She is currently teaching in Northern Thailand. The funds raised at this event will go towards helping the children there get the supplies they so desperately need including books and supplies for writing workshops.

On average, Thais read less than two books a year. That’s where YOU come in.

The event is Saturday March 19, 2011 at Stotler Lounge inside of Memorial Union on the MU campus. Doors open at 7:00pm!

Performances by the a cappella groups Add 9, the Naturelles, and more!

Tickets are $12 for students; $25 for the public.
